Our Daily Minyan
Our daily Minyanim are a vital part of our synagogue life. They meet mornings and evenings each day in the Irene Schwebel Chapel to provide for the spiritual needs not only of our members but also of the surrounding Jewish Community. We encourage all synagogue families to participate in our Minyanim. The daily Minyan makes it possible to recite Kaddish for a loved one. For those observing a Yahrzeit, there is ample opportunity to lead the service or to accept an honor. The morning Minyan generally meets at the following times:
- 7:10 a.m. Monday through Friday
- 9:00 a.m. Sunday and certain legal holidays
Monday through Friday exceptions are Rosh Hodesh, Hanukkah, Israel Independence Day and intermediate days of Festivals, when Hallel is recited. On those days the service usually begins at 7:00 a.m. (The Calendar indicates days when the morning minyan begins at 7:00 a.m.) Evening services are held at 8:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday (unless otherwise noted in the web site calendar. Sunday services follow this schedule: From September 2, 2007 through October 28, 2007 at 8:00 p.m, from November 4, 2007 through March 2, 2008 at 6:00 p.m., from March 9, 2008 through August 31, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. Minyanim on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon/evening are dictated by the weekly sunset time (Check the daily web site calendar for exact times each day.)
