Our Daily Minyan
Our daily Minyanim are a vital part of our synagogue life. They meet mornings and evenings each day in the Irene Schwebel Chapel to provide for the spiritual needs not only of our members but also of the surrounding Jewish Community. We encourage all synagogue families to participate in our Minyanim.
The daily Minyan makes it possible to recite Kaddish for a loved one. For those observing a Yahrzeit, there is ample opportunity to lead the service or to accept an honor.
Morning Minyan generally meets at the following times:
- 7:10 am Monday - Friday (except as noted below)
- 9:00 am Sunday and certain legal holidays. Please check the web calendar for exact times each Sunday.
- 7:00 am weekdays when Hallel is recited, including Rosh Hodesh, Hanukkah, Israel Independence Day and intermediate days of Festivals. Please check the web calendar for days when the morning minyan begins at 7:00 am
Evening Minyan
- 8:00pm Monday – Thursday unless otherwise noted in the web calendar.
- Friday and Saturday evening minyan times are dictated by the weekly sunset time. Please check the web calendar for exact times each Friday and Saturday.
- For Sunday services please check the web calendar for exact times each week
Minyan Initiative
View the Minyan Initiative Calendar here.
Our Minyan Initiative involves a group of T.I.C. volunteers who sign up to attend the Daily Evening Minyan on a rotating basis. and commit one evening of their choice each month. Their presence helps bolster the number of attendees, enabling mourners to say Kaddish. If a volunteer is unable to attend, he or she is asked to find a replacement. Interested volunteers can contact Ellen Salant or Caren Zelicof
For more information about our Daily Minyanim, contact Rabbi Dina Shargel, Ritual Director (914-948-2800) or the lay coordinator for the daily Minyan, Morty Weinstein
