Patty Goldstick, Director of the Temple Israel Center Nursery School, has a Master's Degree from the Bank Street College of Education. Before coming to TIC, she was Director of Kulanu, a supplemental Hebrew High School in Stamford, CT. Before Kulanu, she worked as a Special Educator in dozens of Nursery schools throughout Westchester and the Bronx, helping children with special needs reach their goals and supporting their families and classroom teachers in the process.
Patty has also worked in the Jewish world for over 15 years and has a strong Judaic background. She is a founding member and former Executive Director of Congregation Tehillah in Riverdale, NY. She was also instrumental in the revitalization of Congregation B'nai Jeshurun in Manhattan where she served as the Director of Family & Youth Activities and then as Director of Programming & Volunteers.
Patty says, "I feel grateful to have the opportunity to work with such a gifted group of teachers and professionals and to work so closely with parents and children during this important time in their lives. I get the chance to experience the beauty and meaning of Jewish living in my daily life, surrounded by children's laughter and singing! I love my work and enjoy building a community where children, parents and staff are seen as created in the divine image, worthy of love and respect, valued for their unique contributions to our larger world."
Patty has three children: Caleb, Isabela, and Max, who is a graduate of our nursery school.
